The lake represents an extremely valuable source of fresh water, coveted by all inhabitants living in the area, including animals. It is the country's third largest lake, after the Ypoá and Ypacaraí public lakes. The lake is also used by aviators as a point of reference. Being a tropical area, there are heavy rains in the summer from November to February. Annual rainfall, according to the Meteorological Bureau, is 58 inches (1,500 mm). The Wildlife Ranch, however, shows higher levels, due to its own microclimate generated by the lake. This phenomenon permits the growth of the Clavel grass, absent from the neighboring cattle farms, as it requires abundant water.
It has very sharp teeth, which are similar to razor blade. It has a furious appetite. .Back
